Ship Smart with Easy Pickup & Carrier Choices

A Pickup location is the spot where your package is collected after you arrange a shipment. For instance, it could be your store, or office, etc, depending on where you store and dispatch your products.

Every brand needs to have at least one pickup location set up during account creation to use our shipping dashboard. This ensures a smooth onboarding process and allows for immediate shipment scheduling.

You’ve got the option to create and manage multiple pickup locations, so you can assign shipments to specific locations based on your needs. This is particularly helpful for businesses with multiple warehouses or retail stores, as it enables efficient shipping management across different locations.

After you schedule a shipment, our system offers a list of carriers for your chosen pickup location, making it a breeze to pick the best choice for your shipping requirements. This feature considers factors like delivery speed, reliability, and cost, allowing you to make informed decisions that suit your business and customer expectations.

A Pickup location serves as the collection point for your package after scheduling a shipment.

Each brand must establish at least one Pickup location collected during account creation to utilize our shipping dashboard.

You can create and manage multiple Pickup locations, allowing for the assignment of shipments to specific locations based on preferences or requirements.

After scheduling a shipment, our system generates a list of suitable carriers for the selected Pickup location, making choosing the best option for your shipping needs easy.

Effortless Guide to Modifying Shopify Order Locations

Ready to take control of your Shopify order locations? Follow these steps and make the changes you want in no time!

Step 1: Head over to the ‘Book shipments’ page. Here, you’ll see your shipments displayed along with their respective pick-up locations.

Step 2: You’ll notice that each location corresponds to a specific marketplace, this is set up in Shopify, and to change it, we need to start there.

Step 3: But before we jump into Shopify, there’s one thing you should know: your marketplace locations need to be mapped first. Currently only available to staff users, this process involves syncing locations between Shopify and Locate, which we’ve done here for PHWH1 and PHWH2.

Step 4: Once these locations are mapped, you’re ready to change the location of your order in Shopify. Navigate to your Shopify account, select ‘Orders’, and open the order you want to change.

Step 5: Click on the three dots in the corner for the overflow menu, then select ‘Change Location’. Choose your desired location and save.

Step 6: After making your changes in Shopify, it’s time to resync your order in the Locate dashboard. Open the relevant order and click ‘Sync’.

Step 7: Give it a minute or two, and voila! Your pick-up location should now display your newly selected location.

Just remember, if you forget to manually resync, your order will automatically resync overnight. But to see changes immediately, a manual resync is the way to go.

Also, for manual shipments, you can directly edit the pick-up address in Locate by clicking the pencil icon. Keep in mind that the Shopify version should always mirror Locate to keep all data in sync.

That’s it! A bit of a manual process, yes, but one that ensures your orders are precisely where you want them to be. Feel free to reach out if you need more clarity, happy shipping!
