Brands lose 20–30% of potential sales every time a best-seller runs out. And that’s just the start. Stockouts frustrate customers, damage loyalty, and chip away at brand credibility.
Globally, stockouts lead to over $1 trillion in missed retail sales – with online businesses taking the hardest hit.
Your top-performing products drive the majority of your revenue. Staying in stock means staying competitive.
Introducing: Out-of-Stock Notifications
This is the first step in Locad’s mission to deliver smarter supply chain intelligence—helping you make faster, data-driven decisions to stay in control of your inventory.
You’ll now get notified when fast-moving SKUs are at risk of going out of stock, so you can act early and avoid lost sales.
Here’s what you’ll see:
- A critical banner on your Locad dashboard when stock is running low
- A one-click “Schedule Inbound” button to replenish inventory quickly
How to use this feature
The Out-of-Stock Notifications are designed to help you take quick action before you lose a single sale. Here’s how to stay ahead:
You’ll see a banner notification on your dashboard whenever a fast-moving SKU doesn’t have enough stock to last for the next 30 days. This is calculated using the average daily sales from the past 30 days to predict if your current inventory can meet demand for the coming month.
- Click ‘Schedule Inbound’
The alert will guide you in creating a draft ASN from your dashboard. No extra steps needed.
- Confirm inbound details
Enter your warehouse details, consignment number and planned arrival date.
- Review suggested quantities
Locad uses your sales data from the past 30 days to recommend how much inventory to send. You’ll see suggested units per SKU to cover the next 30 days. These recommendations are based on your recent sales velocity, helping you stock the right amount without over or under ordering.
5. Click on ‘Create Draft’ to submit
Once everything looks good, hit Create Draft to save your inbound request.
6. Review and finalize your ASN
You can now view your draft ASN, where you can:
- Edit inbound and carrier details
- Add value-added services (if needed)
When you’re ready, click Submit ASN to confirm your restock.
